everyone has instant messenger, it's such a great way to stay in touch without having to leave the comfort of your own room. who do you talk to?

the entrance hall of Winston Prep is old fashioned, but grand. with wooden floorboards and high ceilings it looks very much like something from an old victorian home. and major events are held in the entrance hall, as it can hold so many people.

the school is well known for it's fabulous gym. in one area, it has all the machines you could possibly wish for, and in the other, it has a wide open space perfect for any sport.

the noise created here during lunch hour is astounding, mostly by the younger students, the older tend to just sit and eat quickly and quietly, and then leave as soon as they can.

the classrooms at Winston prep are spread out evenly across the two floors. all the rooms are decorated differently but are all equal in size. most teachers decide to cover sections of the walls in work done by the students, others like to leave their walls clean and white.

the dorms are split into years and genders, usually these rules are abided by, however sometimes couples in the school decide to sleep in their partners' dorm instead of their own.

the roof of the school is just a flat concrete area, which over the years has gained a few benches and an old table. if ever any parties are thrown, they are usually held on the roof. the roof of Winston prep is also the perfect place for people skipping lessons to hang out, for one simple reason, the teachers never think to check there.

manhattan mall is widely known as one of the best malls in the area. the shops there have everything you could possibly need and more.

marquee is manhattan's top night club, with a beautiful interior design that makes you want to stay out all night long, which many do. it has three rooms, all linked together. in one, the less noisy bar with tables and stools for people to relax in, one with an open plan dance floor and a dj booth, and one with a large screen for those who want to to watch sports and other events.

hotel pennsylvania is manhattan's fourth largest hotel, and offers wonderful accomodation and flawless service. mostly visitors use the hotel, but occasionally students who want to spend time alone, or with a partner will book a room for a night, or two.

although Winston prep has it's very own library, most chose to use the local library, as the rules are much more relaxed. talking is permitted, as long as it's not too loud, and students can spend as long as they need studying, reading, or using the computers.

yes, starbucks, famously known for his wide range of delicious drinks and snacks. this particular starbucks is large, with glass walls and plenty of seating to accomodate the many different people who wish to spend time there.
